This is an incomplete and poorly written poem, but lines were coming to me so I wrote them down…
We wear upon our face many masks,
a cheerful glance or a nod and smile.
About how we’re really doing no one asks,
if one would only go the extra mile.
How I long for just one to see…
What would it take for them to truly know,
for them to look inside at the real me –
unsightly turmoil is just below.
“Peace be still” is a much needed command,
then striving could cease in this place.
Finally being myself I could stand,
and fully rest upon His grace.
